ATELJE 212 is the famous Belgrade theatre for which we designed visual identity in their 2009/2010 season, under the title of “Revolution”. Our starting point, but also largely our inspiration for the project, was leftist aestheticism, as well as aestheticism of rebellion.

ATELJE 212 is the famous Belgrade theatre for which we designed visual identity in their 2009/2010 season, under the title of “Revolution”. Our starting point, but also largely our inspiration for the project, was leftist aestheticism, as well as aestheticism of rebellion.

Our intention was for the atmosphere of the photographs, with their stark contrasts of imposing black and white areas and large types, to simply evoke some items of political propaganda. We thus decided for the main element of the entire visual identity to actually be stylized fire, which soon became the trademark of the entire season.

The scope of this campaign represented a great challenge for us, as it involved redesigning the entire identity of the theatre, creating visual style for the season, changing the website, producing promotional material, posters, billboards and booklets, as well as designing interesting gifts to be sold in the souvenir shop.
