Fagus is a company from Northern Macedonia producing wooden furniture for 50 years now. This year they premiere their first collection of design furniture, comprising 23 chairs. This branding concept is inspired by wood as an elementary natural material, evoking the environment that the brand originates from. Our design is highly restrained and conceptualized so that the furniture can come to the fore.
Project content
We experimented by combining studio and ambient photographs and the photographs of Macedonian nature. The logo and design of the catalogue and website are inspired by the compact and reliable forms of the chairs. The dominant colors are those prevalent in the Fagus’ first collection, which, contrasted with the photographs, strike a curious balance.
